Doug is a multi-faceted executive with 35+ years of experience in the management, development, implementation, and operation of software, systems and processes. Over the past 20+ years, Doug has worked as a CIO and Data Migration Practice Lead/SME in CROs and Pharmacovigilance consulting companies.

Prior to joining ELIQUENT, Doug was part of Truliant Consulting.  Before that, he held the position of Executive Director of PV & Patient Safety at ICON PLC, where he was responsible for Argus operations and all supporting PV systems. He previously served as Executive Director of Infrastructure Services at ICON PLC (formerly PRA Health Sciences), managing networking, storage and computing, middleware and databases.

Doug’s earlier career includes senior leadership roles at IQVIA as Senior Director and Data Migration Practice Lead, Partner and CIO at Foresight Group International AG, CIO at Drug Safety Alliance, CEO at The Hill Consulting Group and Senior Principal at Technology Consulting Associates.

He has held strategic roles in over 130 safety database migrations for many top 50 global pharmaceutical organizations, with migrations ranging from several hundred thousand to over 3 million cases. Doug’s career has led to specialization in IT Strategy, Cybersecurity, Safety Database Migrations, Drug Safety Business Process Design and PV Operations.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management. He is also fluent in Spanish.
