Heather Johnson is Chief Business Officer at ELIQUENT Life Sciences, where she leads the company’s end-to-end commercial organization. In this role, she oversees Business Development, Marketing, Client Engagement, Sales Enablement, and Talent Engagement—bringing these functions together into a unified, scalable growth engine that aligns strategy, execution, and delivery across the enterprise.
Heather is responsible for driving pipeline and revenue performance, strengthening long-term client partnerships, and ensuring seamless alignment from lead generation through delivery. Her leadership is central to advancing ELIQUENT’s next phase of growth, including the evolution of a more connected, data-driven commercial model and enhanced demand generation capabilities that support global expansion and client impact.
Heather brings more than 20 years of experience in the life sciences and Contract Research Organization (CRO) sector, with deep expertise in commercial strategy, operations, and sales enablement. Throughout her career, she has built and scaled high-performing commercial organizations, delivering measurable growth while strengthening client engagement and operational efficiency.
Prior to joining ELIQUENT, Heather held senior leadership roles at organizations including PPD (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) and Syneos Health, where she led global initiatives to transform sales enablement, integrate commercial operations, and align strategy with execution. At PPD, she played a key role in globalizing commercial processes to support rapid growth, while at Syneos Health she led complex integrations that improved scalability and client alignment.
Heather is known for her strategic and collaborative leadership style, with a strong focus on building customer-centric teams and leveraging data and insights to drive decision-making. She is passionate about fostering a culture of inclusion, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and advance the broader life sciences industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from American University.
