Steve Purtell

A seasoned finance executive with nearly 30 years of experience across diverse industries, Steve Purtell serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ELIQUENT Life Sciences. 

Steve has held key roles at multiple $1B+ public companies on a global and domestic scale, including positions in corporate finance, planning, strategy, and business development.  

Steve joined ELIQUENT following more than 10 years at Six Flags, where he served as Interim CFO, Senior Vice President of Investor Relations & Treasurer, and Vice President of Business Development. As a key advisor to the Chief Executive Officer, Steve was responsible for managing external financial relationships, strategic communications, and Mergers & Acquisitions for the $1.5B entertainment company.  

Steve’s experience includes leadership roles at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, where he served as Vice President of Global Commercial Excellence, Vice President of Finance, and Treasurer. Prior to joining Siemens, Steve served in financial roles at Dade Behring, IMC Global, and GATX. Before his corporate career, Steve served as a Combat Engineer Officer in Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal and Presidential Unit Citation in the Persian Gulf War. 

Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA from the Wharton School.
